Important Update: Prezzo Italian and our Gluten Free Accreditation Scheme

Prezzo's recent rebranding to Prezzo Italian and the launch of their new “gluten friendly” “non gluten” menu, with a disclaimer around cross contamination, does not meet the requirements of Coeliac UK's Gluten Free Accreditation Scheme, where a menu must be labelled gluten free.This communication error has been acknowledged by Prezzo Italian and they have responded quickly and remain committed to the coeliac and gluten free community. We have had reassurances that nothing else has changed, no processes or supply of ingredients, this is only an issue with regards to the rebranding and messaging on their menu.

Prezzo Italian are working quickly to update the wording to gluten free and have their menus reprinted and their filter options for Gluten Free updated. Prezzo Italian staff have also been alerted to prevent any further miscommunication. We are grateful to Prezzo Italian for their ongoing commitment to cater gluten free.

We want to reassure our community that Coeliac UK remains fully committed to expanding options for people with coeliac disease while upholding the highest standards of gluten free safety.
